The Irish go into their last group game against Armenia knowing that they could snatch top spot from the Russians if results go their way. The Russians have a tough away match in Slovakia where the Irish have, on paper, a relatively easy match away in Andorra and at home to Armenia who are below them in thr group. However if the Irish slip up against the former USSR country then they might not even get a playoff place next month. Their fate lies in their hands.
